Personally, I don't mind reading about "topical issues", no matter where or
who they come from, but surely there must be a way to "filter" irrelevant
stuff, i.e., I'm really not particularly interested in where to get crew
baggage-tags, see photos of yet another aeroplane, have a daily report on
airline stock prices etc etc.
I'm happy to go along with the "group dynamics" on this one. If majority
opinion doesn't seem to think that "spam" is necessary/warranted, then give
it the DCM (don't come Monday........sorry about that one Jean, hope the
re-run of that phrase doesn't cause any repercussions).
If, however, the group feels that relevant stuff may contribute to the
group's awareness on the current "threads" etc, then perhaps the majordomo
MAY invite the "contributor" to continue to give us information, provided
that there is, perhaps, some exercise of "situational awareness" (by the
contributor) towards what we as a group seem to be aiming for, so that ONLY
relevant and useful "feedback" may be contributed by him to the group.
Comments anyone?
Phil.
