"Sallai.......tried to drink contact lens cleaning fluid".......what the
hell is going on here?

Over the past few days we've had reports of a dog being killed on board; a
passenger suffocated by law enforcement officers; a C.A. being beaten up!!!!
What's next?

Really, the whole concept of system safety needs to be addressed "globally"
(hence my comments re of the responsibility of individual Contracting states
(ICAO) to come up with a universal system that protects (guarantees?) the
safety of those that operate it and those that fly in it!

Pity Sallai didn't see more clearly the consequences of his actions! (sorry
about this dreadful pun!).
