Thanks Steve,
Yes, UoT has some really good information, particularly the one titled =
"Cultural Issues in Crew Resource Management Training (Bob Helmreich & =
Ashleigh Merritt). The "Flight Management Attitudes Questionnaire 2.0 =
(International)" also provides some good guidance on the issue.
Ben may like to refer to these also as a starting point for his project. =
As for Ben's statement to the group, "I do not however have any idea on =
the cost of such an operation" (implementing a CRM course for a =
simulated Japanese Regional Airline), unfortunately Ben, it's not an =
easy one to answer, and rather like "how long is a piece of string?". =
You really need to establish the "baseline", i.e., what's the starting =
level of CRM awareness etc. of the simulated group, then you can go from =
there. As suggested above, the FMAQ 2.0 (International) could perhaps be =
used to establish the baseline of attitudes, then you have at least a =
defined point from which to develop your programme. Maybe Ashleigh or =
Bob can comment further?
Regards to all,
Phil R.

Phillip, search the web for "Crew Resource Management" and look for =
articles from Robert L. Helmreich at the University of Texas. I've seen =
a lot out there on cultural issues.
