My name is Benjamin Chambers. I am a University Student at the
University of Newcastle, AUSTRALIA. I am current studying CRM and the
wider area, Human Factors. I have being tasked with developing a CRM
course for a simulated Japanese Regional Airline. My question is based
in two parts initially I am trouble at the expense of this operation. It
is assumed from the question that no CRM program is in place and from
scratch I am to develop the program. I do not however have any idea on
the cost of such an operation.
The scenario is based on a total employee population of 835. The airline
operates B767-200 and B737-203 aircraft.
Can anybody help with figures from your own similar sized courses or
courses that you may have helped develop ? Any help appreciated.
My second question is about the significant role that cultural aspects
will play in development, specifically the Asian culture. My particular
question refers to how I can take CRM and ensure that it will be
effective beyond the borders of the United States. My fear is that the
course may be rejected and was looking to find information in this area
from people currently developing CRM in Asian airlines.
