To appreciate the far reaching implications of this situation, there is
a need to explore in a first instance, the
balance of power between the 2 business partners (that is share of the
business) and then the personalities each brings in the business and the
cockpit. In addition one might consider the reason and circumstances
behind the marriage. Did this business arrangement came about before, as
a result of or after the wedding. This debate need not be confined to
the cockpit for decision-making outside the cockpit could well be the
precursor of problems inside the cockpit. It may well be that the
situation is such that:

* A third person owns the business and has a w-h crew
* Wife & husband own the business and are w-h crew
* The wife or her relatives own the business and she decided to have a
w-h crew
* The husband or his relatives own the business and has a w-h crew
* Other

These scenarios need a very small impetus to set the stage for the
development of an adverse behavioral environment with respect to
relationship and decision-making dynamics. not to forget that some
people are so infected with the " blame the other" syndrome. Even Romeo
and Juliet could not stand the heat for ever and ever. Eventually if one
cannot stand the heat, one will get out of the kitchen. I must admit, a
meaningful data will be impossible to get. Hence, one can heuristically
project discouraging such an arrangement or at least introduce some
degree of crew rotation which will sustain this couple ability to be
flexible and is at the same time a good business management approach.

Happy landings
