ACT / CRM in flight manuals

Hi all,
Having recently taken over as the head of the Aircrew Coordination
Training (ACT) division at Naval Aviation Schools Command in Pensacola, FL,
one of the issues I have been trying to get my hands around is what the
Navy's ACT program of the future is going to look like. We are moving full
speed to get an integrated program developed for each airframe (which will
essentially fold the ACT curriculum into the training program for that
aircraft). Once we have accomplished that, the next step would appear to be
the integration of ACT ( or actually CRM) methodologies into the NATOPS's,
(or dash-1, flight manuals, etc.). Or is it?

My question is this: For those of you with more "seasoned" CRM
programs, how much of the methodology is written into the aircraft flight
manuals? Is this necessary or should the flight manual be left to strictly
"mechanical" systems, procedures and checklists with the CRM "stuff"
contained in SOP's or another like document. I would be interested to hear
what other CRM programs out there look like. Thanks
