Well Niel there is a good story or two on the 737-300 electrical smoke and
fire checklist also. Inevitably, when the new pilots were trying to perform
the electrical failure or smoke & fire checklist actions, the airplane would
either crash from lack of attention to controls, needed equipment would be
lost unnecessarily when the pilots pulled the wrong circuit breakers, or
all power would be lost unnecessarily creating more confusion. After
several bad incidents and years of improper use, the checklist was changed.
