I have been reading the early discussion on the definition of CRM and human
factors and think the Vince has it right. CRM is a significant part of
aviation human factors but it is only a part.

I would like to invite everyone to attend (and speak) at the Ninth
International Symposium on Aviation Psychology, April 27-May 2, 1997 in
Columbus, where all aspects of aviation human factors will be presented. CRM
covers about 35 percent of the papers presented. The largest group of papers
will focus on cockpit and ATC system design to reduce human error. In fact,
the theme for this meeting is "Reducing the Impact of Human Error in the
World-Wide Aviation System."
