Interesting discussion about decision making. Paul, when I look at your
web-site, I find it excellent for selling your product, but I still
don't completely understand what you actually do to improve the quality
of decisions. Can you explain this in simple terms?
The way I see it, naturalistic decision making has thought us that
instead of focusing on the decision making process itself, we should
focus on situational awareness. We should accept that decisions made in
the cockpit by means of naturalistic decision making processes are of
high quality if they are based on a high level of situational awareness.
It is when the pilots loose track of where they are and where they are
going that the quality of the decisions goes down.
