In the last few days, several of us have tried to post messages to the
list that had files attached to them. Because of the design of our
mailing list software, such messages usually will not go through.
Majordomo, the software that distributes mail to all subscribers, will
not accept a message that is longer than 40,000 characters, including
attachments. This is done to avoid having our subscribers spend
excessive amounts of time downloading their mail. Many of us have low
speed modems or have to pay for the time we are connected to the
Internet. Additionally, good netiquette dictates that we respect each
others valuable time by only posting material that is relevant to the
majority of our subscribers.
If you have a document or other material that you think would be of
interest to our members, you can email it directly to me at
neilkrey_at_mail.airmail.net and I will include it on the CRM Developers
web site.
Alternately, you can post a brief summary to the list and then have
those interested contact you DIRECTLY (not through the list) to request
an individual copy.
If you have posted a message with an attachment that did not get
distributed, please try again using the above procedure. I look forward
