Good, bad, and ugly videos

The truth is that there just are not many really good videos out there. It
becomes the facilitator's job to make the video relevant to his company /
unit. Previewing the video with a group of 4 - 6 folks will give you an
idea if it works in your situation. This web site is probably a good spot
to discuss the value of particular videos. Some of the ones I like are:

Dr. Ginnet's crew effectiveness presentation - pilot talk and a good
overall review of CRM

American 767 engine fire after takeoff from Frankfurt - working with the
cabin

Dryden - error chain, management responsibility, and cabin reporting
concerns to the cockpit

British Midlands 737 - 400 engine shut down - relate the accident report to
real time

What are your favorites?

I like the notion of humor as an instructional tool. There is an old Jerry
Lewis film clip that takes place in a Dentist office and has been used to
train dentist. Maybe we need to hire the Saturday Nite Live guys to do a
video - Buh Bye
