Hello all,

I am Paul Sherman, Doctoral Candidate at the University of Texas at Austin
and Webmaster for the University of Texas Aerospace Research Homepage.

I just wanted to let you know that there are new papers on our homepage. Our
group has been looking at the impact of CRM, observed slippage in the
acceptance of its concepts, problems in cross-cultural implementation of
CRM, and the integration of CRM with technical training. We are trying to
spell out more clearly the implications of a Fifth Generation of CRM that is
based on the ubiquity and management of human error.

There are two new papers: "National Culture and Flightdeck Automation:
Results of a Multi-nation Survey" by Paul Sherman, Bob Helmreich, and
Ashleigh Merritt, and "The Evolution of Crew Resource Management" by Bob
Helmreich.

There is also a new presentation for the IATA Human Factors Seminar in Warsaw:
"Professional and National Culture: Implications for CRM" by Bob Helmreich.
There's a previously posted paper that relates to the topic: "CRM: I hate
it, what is it? (Error, stress, and culture)" by Ashleigh Merritt and Bob
Helmreich.

Our Website address is http://www.psy.utexas.edu/psy/helmreich/nasaut.htm.

Regards,

Paul Sherman
