Hi Adam,
One place that does Human factors in ab initio extremely well is Purdue
University. A good contact is Dr. John Young [jdy_at_purdue.edu]. John and Dr.
Don Petrin have a very mature ab initio program that includes CRM from first
encounters with aviation.
Also Ron Gallagher and Dale DeRemer Both from UND) wrote a book for flight
instructors called, "Human Factors and CRM for Flight Instructors: The New
Involvement" I recommend it.
Western Michigan University (Dr. Maureen Pettitt) has been working on human
factors in ab initio for several years. Another person working in the field is
Mary Ann Turney, from Dowling College on Long Island.
By the way, all of these great educators will be meeting at the Fall Conference
of the University Aviation Association (UAA) in San Jose, CA this week. It is
a
graet place to learn what folks are doing in the ab inition world. Do you know
the Way to San Jose??
Regards, Guy Smith
