I have attended a 1/2 day seminar of Gissells and was impressed. However, I
would be quick to point out (in my opinion) that like many other of these
personality based courses (e.g. Acumen International) - the problem seems to be
that they open you up to some interesting things, but then frequently leave you
hanging,, with little ability to follow-up. As Vince pointed out earlier, the
ability to impact a pilot significantly in a few short hours, is doubtful.
I also recognize that the GR seminar I attended was a snapshot of her full blow
course. However, most companies don't have that kind of resources to spend on
the entire pilot population - furthermore, I suggest that a large part of them
wouldn't tolerate it. The fact is that the most effective courses in progress
now are practical examples and application of principles we are trying to
impart.
