Great idea, Vince.... I am looking forward to some good discussions.

BTW, our LOFT scenario at USAir has changed. They are actually using the sim
for what it is.. a sim and learning device. We have gotten away from the
stupid mandate of "it's really an airplane" while sitting at Fl350 awaiting
something to happen. We now get a flt plan, go through a departure, incur a
few problems and make relevant decisions according to fuel, wx and events.
We then move on to other problems, especially items that are showing up from
our FOQA. Seems Go arounds are a big item as are stabilized approaches to
the BAC course 23 at CLT.....

I think the pendulum has swung back to where we can use the strenghts of the
sim... quick and repetitive visits to events as necessary. relevant training
with good chances of learning something useful
