I hope I can be allowed to (briefly) stray from the straight & narrow here.
I am a member of the CRM Team at Air Nova, a regional airline in Eastern
Canada. Our team has had the daunting task of developing a high-quality CRM
course over a very brief time span.
The company has now approached us and asked for a change in how we are
compensated for our time. Until now, it has been strictly a fee for service
arrangement, but they now want us to change over to a credit-hours plus
daily fee basis.
We are trying to determine whether the proposal from the company is fair
and/or what we should counter-propose. One thing we decided to do was see
what the rest of the industry did in this regard.
I realize that how, and how well, we are compensated is considered by many
to be a private issue. Please accept my reassurance that this material is
strictly to be used for comparative purposes, to allow us to respond to our
management in an informed manner. Please feel free to respond to my posting
directly at tmhalen_at_ibm.net
Thank you for your time and consideration in this. We now return you to
your regularly scheduled programming.
