So long, and thanks for the memories

CRM Group: It is with regret and also excitement that I make my final
(I think) posting to this website. I have recently accepted the
position of Assistant Flight Training Manager of our DC-9 Fleet, and
will no longer be in the Human Factors Practices section at Northwest
Airlines. While I will continue to promote CRM training within my DC-9
instructors, I will no longer be facilitating the new-hire, instructor,
or captain CRM courses. Unfortunately, I will no longer be attending
the numerous (and fun!!) Human Factors conferences and symposia. It has
been a distinct pleasure working with a lot of the folks on this forum,
and I thank these same folks for all the help they have given me in
developing programs at NWA. I will miss working directly in the field
of human factors, but I am also excited about moving directly into fleet
operations. This is a unique opportunity for me, especially since I am
not a line pilot for NWA. In fact, I am not even a pilot by profession,
but rather a C-130 navigator. That makes this opportunity even more
rewarding.

I wish all of you the best of luck in your respective human factors
programs, and urge you to keep plugging away into all parts of your
organizations. The need for human factors training is not just limited
to aircrews, but of course I'm preaching to the choir!

So long, and thanks for the memories.

Very Respectfully,
Tony Sasso
