I guess I'm the new guy on the list. I wanted to do two thing. First let me
introduce myself. My name is Jeff Crow and am currently employed by NATO
flying the E-3A AWACS. In addition I am trying to bring some concept of CRM
to our component. The component is made up of Officers and soldiers from
twelve different nations not to mention widely varying experience levels. I
find it a rather challenging task to say the least, especially when there is
little to no funding available.
This leads me to my question. About six months ago I found an article in
Aviation Week describing a CRM library of training materials built by among
others the FAA, NTSB, USAF, USN, and numerous major airlines. Unfortunately
there was no point of contact for this library and the editors at AW&ST would
not answer my mail or e-mails. Have any of you heard of this library? Any
idea on how to find them. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, since I'm "just a pilot" I would appreciate any information dealing
with National Culture or Difficulties of Building CRM programs in a
Multi-Cultural environment. You can send it to me direct if you wish.
