Hi gang,
Thanks a million for being there and sharing with the rest of us your
thoughfull knowledges on aviation human factors.
Flying back home from the AsMA Scientific Meeting at Seattle (from near
the North Pole to near the South Pole) I read the new edition of the
former Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Transportation Mary
Schiavo«s book "Flying Blind, Flying Safe".
Since I believe she was labeled as an alarmist, I am realy curious about
what our american fellows in the list think about Schiavo«s stories and
appretiations on the FAA and Flying Safety.
Regretably she says nothing on human factors issues, by large our main
cause of concern, nevertheless when FAA cultural factors are mentioned,
I could hear a familiar sound.
Greetings from Buenos Aires
