Tim, I like Reid's last suggestion ("some real meaty stuff" regarding
engineers and flight crews). If you are interested in following this track
you might check out three papers that some of us have published over the last
few years at the AIAA/SAE World Aviation Conferences. The paper numbers are
SAE 965510, SAE 975642, and SAE 975644. Each involves flight test issues (the
interface between engineering and flight crews). Also, this topic has gotten
some exposure recently at the USAF Test Pilot School, the National Test Pilot
School, and the SAE G-10 Committee on Aerospace Behavioral Engineering. You
