Good Morning CRMers -

Please accept my sincere apologies for over-reacting to this weekend's virus
incident. As I have learned, this virus propogates through email by
essentially hijacking the user's computer without his knowledge. I regret
having make any suggestion that this might have been intentional and
appreciate everyone else's timely and cool response.

I want to thank David Bair for his quick action in cleaning the virus off his
computer. I also want to thank several of our members, some of whom have
prior experience with this virus, who have helped me understand the issues
involved.

It appears that at least one other member of the list now has the virus. I
have emailed him to offer assistance. Since it looks like we will have to
deal with this sort of thing in the future, I would like to remind you not to
open or run any computer program that comes from an unknown source or whose
purpose you don't completely understand. In particular, DO NOT RUN THE
PROGRAM NAMED "HAPPY99.EXE". DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY!

You can find additional information about this virus at:

Meanwhile, everyone should remember that the best defense against this sort of
thing is a good, up to date virus protection package on your computer.

If nothing else, this should convince all of you that it would be risky to fly
with me. ;-)

Best regards,
Neil Krey
