You seem to have a serious interest in transformational leadership and I have
very much enjoyed your analysis. Thought you might like to see this outline.
It is part of a course I am developing for pilots in collegiate training.

TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP

I. THE CHALLENGE: Search for opportunities to change the way it is

A. every new project is an adventure
B. new assignments are opportunities for growth
C. question the "old ways" (tactfully)
D. find problems to fix
E. add fun to every job
F. experiment with new ideas and methods
G. share the new ideas with everyone else
H. set up small experiments in collaboration with others
D. analyze both failures and successes

II. SHARING VISION

A. list what you want to do differently (write it out)
B. act on your intuition
C. test your assumptions
D. enlist support from others
F. find common ground
G. be positive and optimistic
H. be truthful

III. ENABLING OTHERS

A. always use "we"
B. create trust
C. focus on areas of agreement (not disagreement)
D. involve others in planning from the start
E. trust others
F. develop interpersonal skill and sensitivity

IV. ROLE-MODELING
