Rob,

We recently received some feedback on the effectiveness of CRM training
that I hope will be useful in your battle. Neil encouraged us to post it
earlier, but I have waited for an opportunity like your bean counter
conflict.

Last summer CTI conducted Baseline CRM training for all of the fighter
pilots and navs in the Italian Air Force. We also conducted two
facilitator classes prior to the Baseline training. General Arpino,
Chief of Safety for the Italian Air Force, speaking to the Chief of
Training for the Egyptian Air Force, recently said:

"1998 was the first year in the 75 year history of the Italian Air
Force where there was not a fatality due to an aviation mishap. The CRM
training that we received was one of the primary reasons why this
occurred."

Bean counters always want to know what things cost. Here is a good
example of what was saved.
