Subject: leadership principles and techniques

During My Military Duties I training AH-64 units on the employment of the
system in Combat

One thing we learned as the training staff was to be very carefull in the
relationship between principles and techniques

We found the techniques was very easy to teach, yet had some very serious
limitations if the student did not understand the prinicple behind the
technique.

Consider the following

Principle is a standard or fundemental that is applied to any number of
situations.

Techinque is the application of a principle in any given situation.

The leadership trainer should be very carefull when teaching technique
without principle.

Hello Mr. Rolfsen,
I'm currently developing a Pilot leadership program. I would be interested
in
more details on some of the exercises you have developed for your program.
I'm
looking for some decision-making and Communication exercises. Any
information
you could offer would be appreciated.

Thank you
