Altitude Bust Training Interventions

Hi all,

The May 15th Altitude Bust conference in London is looking very popular
indeed (see programme below) and this has created a problem/opportunity
(any Kai Sen fans reading this?) which I would appreciate the list's help
with.

I've had a request for a conference resource book, a sort of workbook plus
useful information, tools and tips which attendees can take home and apply.
Magically, we've got sponsorship for it, and I've now got to specify the
contents in a hurry. The first 25 pages are reserved for a detailed
analysis of the Cali crash by Dave Simmon, and UK CAA will probably use
several pages for a survey etc. This leaves about 45 pages to fill.

The question for this list is, are there any articles, studies, alt bust
programme specifications for recurrent training, LOFT scenarios used for
alt bust awareness in recurrent training, or similar data which would be
helpful for somebody doing CRM training development, typically for
something like a large regional carrier or small national carrier? If so,
can we reprint it for Alt Bust conference attendees?

The question arises because I haven't been able to find any examples of Alt
Bust classroom material which moves on from basic awareness (CRM
indoctrination training) to specific tools you can use on the flight deck.
Logically, this is likely to be because altitude deviations involve a
variety of topics which are taught separately, e.g. situational awareness,
assertiveness, decision-making, communication. But we should be able to
provide something more specifically for altitude deviation prevention to
tie up the strands.

Ideas woud be very welcome!
