CIS Peer Support Training

If anyone is interested...AirBC (Air Canada Regional) is hosting the
International Aviation CISM Peer Support Training Seminar in Vancouver,
Canada, June 1-5/98. (CISM - Critical Incident Stress Management).

The seminar consists of two separate courses: Aviation Basic CISM (June
1-3/98) and the more advanced Aviation Peer Support/Crisis Counselling
(June 4-5/98). Both courses are approved by the International Critical
Incident Stress Foundation and ICISF certificates are granted upon
succesful completion. Instruction by ICISF endorsed trainers, Gregory
Janelle and Cristina Lawrence, PhD.

The seminar will be of interest to anyone in aviation who wishes to
form, or who is already a member of, an aviation critical incident
stress debriefing team (this may include aviation peers as well as
mental health professionals presently assisting the aviation industry).
