Have your students devise their own tests. The book outlines enough
theory as the basis. The exercises demonstrate the operation of the
key theory points. People can then work out their own routines - and
they'll be good for their lifetime. (I can provide a 2-3 page 'study
guide' if you want, for group development exercises.)
You're right about the DMT. It relies on subliminal image recognition.
Not only is interpreter subjectivity involved, the subject will
perform differently on the day he or she was stopped by the cops on
the way to work, fought with spouse, partied the previous night,
whatever.
I can't think of any test design that would not suffer from these
effects. After all, denial-in-real-life does. Hence my quest for
individual self-appraisal, conducted with candid honesty. This,
surely, assists in the development of the autonomy and self-reliance
that will make their flying more professional and safer.
The WOMBAT is good, but, in my view, better as a 'before and after'.
Cheers
