Discussions of leadership tend to be top down--that is they focus on the
person in charge. Do yourself a favor and start with the concept of
followership. This is escpecially important since most new hires and ab
initio personnel are going to spend some length of time in the subordinate
role. They have to know when to follow and when to lead. Yes that's right
subordinates sometimes lead. And just to make things more interesting,
there isn't a school solution on what makes a good follower. If you have a
vocal group it makes for a good discussion. If your audience is not vocal
in class ( as in Asian cultures ) you need to be more creative in how you
present the topic. ( This is what the captain and the company expect!)
How you "lead the class" and how open you are to the students input will
leave as lasting an impression as the actual material.

Good luck,
