Hi Greg
Im doing something very similar to you in Australia and would be interested
in networking sometime and hearing more about your operation. I cant
believe how this stuff has taken off around the world.
So much of it is common sense and yet it seems to have been made into a
multi million dollar industry. Psychs are picking up a bit of a backlash
against it all at the moment. We are seeing quite a bit of cynicism from
organisations who are realising that most of it they have been doing all
along. Those that are carefully reading the research literature in
psychology and psychiatry are coming up with some very legitimate questions
regarding the usefulness of any formal intervention at all.
Now for something quite controversial -- PTSD is very rarely found in
people that dont already have a personality disorder of some kind, and for
those prone - regardless of the psychological intervention, they will still
get PTSD.
