the Air Force reinventing the Wheel. Air Force has been involved in CRM
research since the early 70's. MAC(now AMC) did several cooperative efforts
with NASA and major carriers. The folks at Brooks and Randolph AFBs have
done physiologial and psychological studies continually since 1947. Major
carriers do learn from this stuff and the Air Force does impliment where
possible. Sometimes it appears that careerism out weighs mission
effectiveness so CRM falls by the way side. You might take a look at MAJ
Tony Kern's book: Redefining Airmanship a McGraw-Hill publication. Also,
FEDEX has a nice MD-11 automation training package. This is great real
synergy!
