>In my capacity as a simulator instructor, I am given a short briefing from
another training captain on the subject to be taught under the title of
CRM. We have been teaching "situational awareness" this winter and in the
summer move onto "error chains". We should all be fully briefed to teach
the subject as part of the summer recurency training. In addition to the
company brief I try to do a bit extra, as you will have seen on my request
for information.
>
>We have started joint flightdeck/cabin crew LOFT exercises on the FKR
fleet and again we would be interested to hear other peoples' experiences
and pearls of wisdom.
>
>We have also introduced an informal classroom session for flight deck and
cabin crew to come together and work through some CRM exercises as part of
the cabin crew refresher training, as well as benefiting the flightdeck
crew. This has gone down very well with the troops.
>
>In addition I carry out a talk and get together with newly hired cabin
crew members for half a day as part of their initial CRM training. This is a
very informal overview about the training, lifestyle and general outlook on
life from the pilots' point of view. In addition, with the assistance of a
cabin crew ground instructor, I talk on general matters of health and
wellbeing.
