Hi Jean and CRM gang
For your statistics, 15 days ago a cargo Metro III hit the ground in a
perfect CFIT 300 miles before the treshold in Sauce Viejo Airport,
Argentina. Pure lack of CRM. PF was the Captain (6000 flight hours)
individualistic and macho style pilot, and PNF a junior female F/O with 2000
who couldn't assert herself, she was blindly confident in his captain's
skills. No C app briefing to a foggy runway. No F/O callout when at minimums
the PF abandoned the glideslope, etc. In other words, the same accident
descripted in every manual, book or NTSB report, repeted once more. Neither
pilot had CRM training.
