Good Afternoon CRMers -

I have been hoping that the discussion of this accident would yield
information supporting our purpose in this group - promoting effective
development of CRM and human factors training. I have not seen such a
connection so far.

On the CRM-DEVEL list, we try to avoid speculating on accidents until
the official investigation has been completed and the resulting reports
are issued. If there is no clear and immediate indication that the crew
contributed to, or had an opportunity to significantly influence, the
outcome in this case, perhaps we should defer our discussion until the
accident report is issued.

I appreciate that the crew of this flight we personal friends of some of
us, and the senselessness of such a tragedy begs for action. I just
want us to keep our focus on the areas where this group can continue to
make a contribution to aviation safety.

Best regards,
Neil Krey
