We participated in a survey done by Bolling Green State Univ which
addresses learning style preferences. The bottom line was that our airline
crews were open to a variety of methods. Corporate and Commuter crews had
slightly different results. As I recall the younger crews were more open
to role playing and the older crews wanted straight lecture.
My take on the difference between our crews and the others surveyed was
that our crm program had been ongoing for several years with classes
purposely designed to use a variety of methods: video, role playing,
self-assesment surveys, discussions, problem solving, slide shows, flip
charts, et al.
