I agree 100% with your concept. But in the real world many proud and
professional crew members became fatalities as a result of that attitude
which we think we selected them for. Always right, always wanting to do the
right thing and sometimes not allowing new or accurate inputs from others
because the profession has told them they don't need it. They are the best
etc. Yes, aviators are a special breed requiring many foundation skills
before turning the props. But management and training must also let them
knoe that they are human, and thus eligible to make mistakes. And equally as
likely to do so. Again most accidents are the result of human error..not a
lack of professionalism. I enjoy your thoughts. Thanks for sharing them you
have a keen sense of focus.
