While working with F/O Bud Williams on the development of a
FAR-compliant CRM program in the Flightcrew Training Department at
America West Airlines in 1996/7, I began calling our developmental
model "Total Resource Management", or "TRM". This concept evolved out
of a survey of the other U.S. major airline CRM training programs, and
was most influenced by Clay Foushee's CRM work at Northwest, and Cal
Hutching's work at United. If anyone is interested in more
information pertinent to this "TRM" model, please send me an e-mail.

Hi!
I'm new the forum, taking a graduate course in aviation safety (for a dual
concentration in safety and human factors.) I've not seen the term TRM
yet. What does yet-another-three-letter-acronym stand for??
