Dear Greg and all
The following is not a research study, just our humble experience, much
more reduced than yours.
Two days ago we had our monthly facilitators meeting nationwide. By dec
31, 1998 all atp pilots must have crm training here (sorry for my
English).
So eleven aviation organizations are training their own pilots.
In all cases the use of accidents video resulted as the best motivating
tool.

But in one particular case, a facilitator who was working alone in his
own company, made an interesting and innovative change.
The very first day of the seminar he gave the option for the audience to
form 3 working groups in order to prepare, each one of them, the
exposition of a "CRM accident" 48 hours later (the third day).
The natural competitiveness of his pilots made this move a challenging
task, and the result at the third day of the seminar was outstanding.
Each group had prepared (compiting with the others) the study and
exposition of a different accident -with videos and written material the
instructor had facilitated them.

Another facilitator mentioned the extraordinary experience their pilots
had in Stokholm (Sweden), at the SAAB training center with a crm
simulation device. I would like to know if some listmember knows this
system, it apears to very effective.

Hope this help

Best regards

Hugo
