Hello David,
I fly to Toronto, New York and Miami on B.W.I.A. (I live in Barbados 246
428-2102 give me a call). I would be glad to give you some hard copy from
both the company and union side of confidential reporting. It can be via
confidential reporting by the crew involved or by monitoring of flights by
computer (management calls the union and asks for clarification from the
crew of the anomaly).
I was involved in a bid for Flight Operations Quality Assessment program
that Spar Aerospace put together for Transport Canada. Obviously it is a
very sensitive area that requires a great deal of trust between the
management and pilots. The opponents call flight monitoring "spies in the
sky" or "big brother is watching". However it has its supporters who need
to tell others of their near diasters so that others will be more vigilant.
Cheers Norm Dowd
