At the risk of sounding "offended", I'd like to inject a "correction".
CRM cannot be successfully taught as a lecture mode--on that we'll agree.
However, the CRM presentations we make in several of our ATS venues are
NOT lecture. We use the seminar/discussion method. When students arrive in
our common CRM classroom, they notice there is no lecturn or podium. The
facilitator stands in the middle of the room among the students and
orchestrates the discussions. And yes, sometimes those discussions take more
time than orginally scheduled for. This is one of the reasons we offer a CRM
Facilitator Training course; to get the military instructors out of a lecture
habit.
While many of the "technical skill" lessons do present through lecture,
CRM in the C-130, KC-10, AFSOC and ANG do not. In the fighter community the
students work through linked-computer terminals.
Is that a lecture, or a seminar?
