I am seeking info and comments on the possibility/value of "Hands-On"
Situational Awareness Training in a non-simulator environment. ie,
classroom/workshop/facilitated training venue.
This training may include role plays, or case studies, or other methods
of which I am unaware.
It has been suggested to me that a series of role play exercises would
have value. My reaction is that role plays are time-soft, no "push" to
the scenario, and therefore of diminished value. Case studies may be of
value. These could be time-lined to display a sense of time
appreciation, and perhaps should be supported by audio/video to allow
for a good analysis.
Has anybody done this ? What was the response from the participants ?
Was it valuable to the end-purpose of the program ?
Comments ??
Thanks, everybody.
