There was a workshop manual "Air Traffic Teamwork Enhancement, Controller
Workshop" published October 19,92 that the FAA conducted. Somewhere in my
travels I picked a copy up and it has the basic foundation of an excellent
jumping off point for Air Traffic Control functions. Irefer to it often when
talking to controllers.
I do not know if it is still available or even being published. It has no
clear authorship nor does it have a manual number. Maybe someone in the
group can help identify if it is still around. It is "Air Traffic Team
Enhancement". As you'll find out soon enough, it is not hard to find
material for a course, lots of wheels are rolling, the trick is to have the
participants practice the principles: performance skills. On that there is
limited information. Good luck.
