Seems to me that there are lots of articles etc. on non verbal communication.
Yes, these behavior sets are important in providing feedback amongst the
crew. Problems arise when a crew ,e,ber makes a movement say, "Select
alternate brakes" arm moves forward, PIC observes movement, but the FO
actuates the Anti Skid Switch to OFF. The topography of a movement can be an
assumption that "some switch was actuated" cross checking can only verify if
it was the correct switch. It has potential to be misleading.
