I am quite familiar with the use that the NASA/UT group have had for the
term in more recent times, and know that this was prompted by the less
literal definition, which relates to: "something that causes unexpected harm
to its originator".
This was quite a useful term for its time, however, lets not get too caught
up in wholesale labelling of others when their opinion may not mirror our
own, or that which we would like to them to develop. Constructive criticism
of training programs can be a very good learning experience for the
designer. When that criticism is less than fair, then at least we know how
the individual thinks. From my experience, the people we have to worry
about most are those who sit and say nothing, then go back and do what they
have always been doing. The old story: the people who need it the most...
Time for you drongos to get back to work.
