Thank you for this interesting thread. There is much to be learned from
this
discussion, and I hope it will continue.
With my first entry into the group, I was well below the novice level, and
I appreciate
the patience and guidance the group has provided me.(Not to say that I've
suddenly
become some sort of self styled "expert")
At this point, I've been contacted by several regional and commuter
carriers who wish
to explore a training program which deals with disruptive / abusive
passengers.
Once again, I would be most thankful for any guidance that the group could
provide.
It is my and my wife's sincere wish to be of assistance to these carriers
and their
crews, but we want to get it right the first time.
This week alone, there have been reports of two relatively major
incidents, and unfortunately
I see the trend continuing to escalate. We believe that it is vital to
provide the tools needed by
crewmembers to deal with the problem in hopes of avoiding future injury,
and aircraft damage.
Many thanks in advance,
Mike Sheffer
