Subject: Re: Go Around

I have been asked this question many times at interviews and in my
opinion
there is no really good answer except adhering to whatever is stated in
your
current op's manual. It sounds like Delta is on the ball. As far a
switching
controls over to anybody at DH, I have never heard of this and I would
like to
know which 121 carrier has this for SOP? I don't know about fighting for
an
aircraft at 100 feet either but if its and unstable approach which
really
endangered the aircraft and people I would fight it all the way into the
ground. If its a stable approach and I have done my job the best I can
in
asserting myself without having to fight for the aircraft I might let
the
Capt. have his way and then use proper channels to see to it that it
doesn't
happen again. If I knew more about what would happen to my career as a
result
of these actions I might react differently, whatever the case may be the
safety of the passengers and aircraft are of the utmost importance. It's
not
always who's right, but what is right. In my limited experience as
professional pilot I have never seen another pilot trained to do this
and I
know no training dept. or airline would want their aircraft operated in
that
kind of manor.
