Dear Sally

What about relative lack of oxygen on long-haul
flights - in those passengers who might be more
sensitive to hypoxia? This would be compounded
by alcohol + various sedatives, etc.

One person who I can think of with a particular
interest in this topic is Ken Lewis, Group General
Manager, Safety & Environment at QANTAS. He & I
discussed this problem at the Safeskies Conference
in Canberra in November and I know that he has
some ideas on the problem.

I'd be interested in discussing this further with
you (or anyone else with an interest in the
topic), as I have in mind at least one group of
passengers who might have increased propensity
for becoming unruly.

Regards

Jan Davies
