1993. 2. An observation: students in the UK RAF are afforded much
more autonomy and respect than USAF students and USAF pilots in
general. ( I verified this with a survey of all USAF-RAF exchange
officers). This phenomenon reflects the generally more egalitarian
dynamic of British culture. It's American, and USAF culture that
expects students, and the rest of us aviators, to behave per
rule-based structures. CRM has a long way to go in the US... Cheers
