Today's Wall Street Journal has an article on the recent shutdown, due to a
snowstorm, of Detroit Wayne County Airport and the huge problems that
resulted. Included is Northwest Airlines' internal report on the events,
decisions, and errors that occured at many levels of the organization. Since
CRM/TRM seems to be spreading to other parts of the airline companies, this
has the potential for becoming a case study for how CRM principles extend
beyond the aircraft.
