Tony,
your clarification of Group Think is very interesting. In this context CRM
can be seen as a tool to control the negative effects of the primary
(emotional) thinking process. Obviously we are not consciously aware, when
our thinking and decision making is dominated by seeking reassurance or
other emotions. The questions are: Can we recognise the primary thinking
process being dominant? If yes, should our general objective be to revert
to the secondary (reality based) thinking process? Does the predominance of
emotional thinking only have negative effects on decision making and
situational awareness, or can it also have positive effects?
Looking forward to hear from the "academics"!
