Isn't it funny how information turns up...
One of the best resources that I know of on this issue (including those
mentioned in previous responses to your mail) is Dr Drew Dawson, who is the
Director of the Centre for Sleep Research at the University of South
Australia, right there in little old Adelaide...
Drew will be presenting an Invited Speech at the Australian Symposium next
month on the very issue of Fatigue in Aviation. I believe that his work is
more operationally relevant than much of that produced elsewhere, and in
fact "operationalises" much of the current knowledge state on fatigue in
aviation. He is also just the sort of guy to provide a well considered
response to Fiona's problem.
Drew can be contacted as follows:
Tel: (+61 8) 8222 6624
Fax: (+61 8) 8222 6623
email: <drew.dawson_at_unisa.edu.au>
Say hi to Fiona.
Best,
Brent
